As a certified Open Water Diver, you are interested to expand your knowledge and experience with advanced and speciality training! COJO Diving offers PADI recreational courses throughout the year. Advanced training will introduce you to Drift, Deep, Night diving and more under the supervision of a PADI instructor.
Exploration, Excitement, Experiences. They are what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. And no, you don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course. The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving. The Advanced course includes 5 Open Water dives including - Drift, Night, Deep, Marine Life, and Navigation. Gear rental packages are available!
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. This course includes classroom, and 2 Nitrox fills. Gear rental packages are available!

“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur. The course combines classroom, confined water and ocean dives to master your skills!
To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must be at least 12yrs old and have a PADI Adventure/Advanced Diver (or equivalent), and have current First Aid and CPR certification (within the past 2 years). First Aid and CPR training is available for an additional fee. Gear rental packages are available.
This is a challenging and very exciting course that includes four training dives over at least two days. During your first open water dive you'll practice line handling, reel use and emergency procedures without entering a cavern. But, for your next three dives, you're headed into the cavern, staying within the light zone and 40 metres/130 feet total distance from the surface. We have the opportunity to run this speciality course in Ontario and Florida, contact us to find out the next training dates!

After your first few scuba dives, you soon want to explore a bit deeper. There’s something exciting and mysterious about the depth that attracts dives. You will learn techniques for diving in the deeper range of 60-130ft, and deep diving equipment considerations. This course includes classroom, and 4 ocean dives. Gear rental packages are available.
To enroll in the Deep speciality course, students must be at least 15yrs old, and have Adventure Diver (or equivalent).
This course is designed to provide Sport Divers with a breathing medium for extending their dives to Sport Diving Depths by using ENDs in the 40 to 80 fsw (12 to 24 msw) depth ranges. The diver may elect to dive the "mix" on tables or computers. The course qualifies divers to do no-stop required dives using Recreational Trimix Gas mixtures to a depth of 130 fsw (39 msw).
To enroll in the Recreational Trimix Diver course, students must be qualified Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent and EANx Diver or take the EANx Diver course in conjunction with the Recreational Trimix Diver course. Minimum of 15 logged dives. Must be a minimum of 15 years of age with a parent or guardian authorization, or a minimum of 18 years of age without guardian approval. Gear rental packages are available.
Whether sunk on purpose as an artificial reef or the result of mishap, wrecks open fascinating windows to the past. Most divers find wrecked ships, airplanes and even automobiles nearly irresistible because they’re intriguing to explore, exciting avenues of discovery, and usually teeming with aquatic life. The PADI Wreck Diver course teaches you the ins and outs of rewarding, responsible wreck diving. This course consists of classroom and 4 ocean dives. The dives will be scheduled on charters in Nova Scotia (on the shipwrecks near Sambro Island, the HMCS Saguenay, or the Arrow off Arichat), in Brockville, ON or on the Bell Island wrecks in Newfoundland!
To enroll in the Wreck speciality course, students must be at least 15yrs old, and have Adventure Diver (or equivalent). Gear rental packages are available.
The purpose of the Self-Reliant Diver specialty course is to recognize and accept the role of the buddy system and its contributions to diver safety while identifying and developing self-reliance and independence while diving. There are two reasons for an experienced diver to take the Self-Reliant diver course:

Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and the rise of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever. This is why there are actually two PADI underwater photography courses. The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course gets you going quickly with today modern digital equipment, whether you use a point-and-shoot snap camera or a sophisticated D-SLR like the pros. The PADI Underwater Photographer course is a more traditional photography course designed for conventional film equipment. This course includes classroom, and open water photography assignments under the guidance of your PADI instructor. Gear rental packages are available.
If the spirit of adventure and unusual, challenging diving appeals to you, try diving under the ice. You will complete a minimum of three ice dives for your certification. Dives are typically done as a group working with support personnel, divers, tenders, and safety divers. You are under the ice to learn to control buoyancy, navigate under the ice, and keep in contact with the lead diver and tenders via line pulls. This course is available in March, and is normally conducted at Atlas Park in New Brunswick.

Project AWARE Foundation is the scuba diving industry’s leading nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to conserving the aquatic environment through education, advocacy and action. Besides completing the Project AWARE Specialty course, you can become a partner in the efforts to preserve the underwater environment. In this classroom only course, you learn about the ocean commons and coastal zone issues, fisheries challenges and sustainability, environment overview and habitats, and the role of the SCUBA diver in protecting marine habitats.

As a PADI Equipment Specialist, you are prepared for the basic scuba equipment maintenance, care and adjustments you'll encounter every day. In addition, you'll learn interesting background information about how your gear works, how it’s repaired and other information that helps you with your equipment investment. During this course you will spend 2 evenings in the classroom, receive the Encyclopedia of Diving textbook, and have the opportunity to perform maintenance on your own gear (if you wish!), or practise maintenance and repairs on classroom gear/equipment.
Yes, you read that right! This PADI Distinctive Specialty is a real course, and as a speciality can be applied towards your Master Scuba Diver Rating! This specialty is an introduction to " Survival" diving in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Students will learn the myths, legends, and real science surrounding the origin of the zombie. The course will then instill PADI philosophies of conservation, buoyancy, rescue skills, and first aid skills. Information will be presented in a thoughtful and entertaining manner.
