GUIDED SHORE DIVES OF DEER ISLAND, NB

If you are a qualified SCUBA Diver and interested to see the underwater beauty of Deer Island, why not participate in a guided dive of the best sites on the island..? Guided dives are available year-round! Due to the extreme tidal range of Deer Island, there are specific times to safely dive specific sites and it is strongly discouraged for a diver that is new to the area to attempt a dive without an experienced guide. The Marine Life on Deer Island is spectacular and is an underwater photographer's dream.

The Old Pier at Eastport is also an excellent dive site and offers the opportunity for photographing wonderful marine life around the granite block wall that supported the old pier. There is an area where soft coral blankets the bottom, and the occasional basket star will be found.. and anemones, hermit crabs, lobster, varieties of star fish, sculpins and sea ravens can all be photographed here. Timing dives with the tides is critical here as with Deer Island, so going with a guide is highly recommended. The town of Eastport is rich with history, and has several great restaurants, antique stores and local crafts.

Guided Dives provide a range of opportunities for divers of all skill levels. Dives will be catered to your group's particular interests. Educational dives can also be combined with guided dives to provide skills refreshment, advanced diving certification, or specialties (such as Night Diving, Drift Diving, Nitrox, Photography).



COJO Diving will lead you on a beautiful Wall or Drift Dive where you can see Wolf Fish, Spiny Lumpsuckers, Anemonies, various types of Nudibranchs, Starfish, and Lump Fish. Occasionally Spiny Dogfish visit on the dives, or stunning bright yellow or red Sea Ravens.

Minimum Charge is $100.00. Rates are $50.00 per diver (maximum 4 divers) for one dive, $75.00 per diver for two dives.

A deposit is required to confirm your booking.

Please note equipment rental is not included. Equipment can be rented on request (tanks, weights, camera, lights). Contacts can be provided for other gear rentals and air/nitrox fills. Accommodations on Deer Island range from camping, B&B, local motels and inns. Sunset Beach Cottage & Suites offers excellent accommodations, wonderful hospitality and memorable sunsets!
